Thank you for a super week in your warm, cosy cottage. Beautifully equipped with a tasteful welcome pack & lots of great helpful items & treats for the dogs. It has been a great base from which to spend time with both family and friends living in this area. We really appreciated safe areas to walk and run the dogs. We hope to visit again.

A great little gem in the countryside of East Sussex. It was lovely to relax and visit Battle and Sedlescombe especially the pub! Very clean and presentable stable with everything you need. It was a nice treat to have the hamper bits. Would love to return. Thank you for a restful stay.

Had a wonderful stay at the Sawmill Cottage. Close to everything we needed and the hamper was great.

A lovely place to relax and unwind to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Weather pretty awful but didn't matter knowing we were tucked away nice and cosy. Had a lovely day in Battle and recommend the Abbey restaurant. We have really enjoyed our stay in Jessie. Thank you for the perfect stay and all the lovely touches that made it special. The dog towels and treats were really needed especially with all the rain!

This was our first time here and probably won't be our last! I loved the fact that the bedroom had a television in it so that I didn't have to watch whatever boring thing my parents were watching! The landscape is really amazing and it is so good that you're allowed to bring dogs. It makes things so much easier. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well. The basket with treats in was so nice and the dog biscuits too! The juice you left on the fridge for us was delicious. Thank you so much for our stay

We've been really looking forward to coming back to Jessie to celebrate our 15th anniversary and it didn't let us down. We really love it here. It till amazes us how we can feel so cosy (especially with the fire lit) yet don't feel cramped. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for all the little personal touches!

Another lovely stay at Castlemans with friends and family. Weather was warm and even had a barbie! Great that we had all the accommodation which worked really well and we loved Jessie. High standard as always - we will be back

Very enjoyable stay apart from the weather tail end of USA hurricane. Recommend village pub, sunday roast, good range of beers and v friendly & dog welcoming. Rye is very good, Hastings lots of road works and traffic lights, garden centre on main road is very good. The field in front of us was great for our 2 dogs and lovely views.

The best equipped accommodation we have stayed in. You have thought of everything and the welcome pack is so lovely. It is so dog friendly and you don;t have to worry about them escaping, with a lovely big area to run around in. The heatwave was a challenge but we still managed to get out and do things. Loved sitting on the terrace in the evenings just chilling out. The local pub is great and dog friendly. Can recommend the White Hart at Netherfield - beautiful view from the terrace. We will definitely be back to this amazing place which is so clean, comfortable and relaxing. Thank you

Thank you so much for an amazing weekend! Jessie has verything we needed and more to make such a lovely stay. The lights on the path and the trolleys were a great addition as we arrived on Friday night in the dark. We will definitely be recommending - thanks again.

Third visit to this cottage. So convenient, comfortable, clean and nicely furnished! Weather not amazing but not as bad as when I got snowed in! Only criticism is could do with a couple of pyrex dishes but can't fault the rest. See you next year.

Another visit to this wonderful cottage. We book every year (8th) its home from home. This year is somewhat sad as every year we would bring our lovely dog (Tia) but earlier in the year she sadly passed away. She loved coming here and having the Common for her walks. The cottage is perfect for everything you could need and ask for - welcome hamper always goes down well, local walks, central places to visit, shopping etc. But of course the cottage is so tidy & clean (as always). We still walk the common every day (Tia in our hearts). While we were here we visited Brighton, Tonbridge etc. Thank you Sue, Stephen & team. See you next year!

A perfect blend! On one side an amazing choice of the best restaurants and shops (dog friendly) and on the other a Common which the dog loved every morning! With a lovely well appointed Cottage in the middle. Thank you!

First time here, when we arrived lovely clean and tidy. Loved the layout, everything you need is here. Also whats a lovely thought is a hamper was left with lots of goodies inside. Went for a walk in your lovely grounds, beds were lovely and comfortable to sleep in. Went to Battle for the day yesterday, lovely little town. Will definitely come and stay again.

We had a wonderful few nights in Jessie, it was really the perfect spot to relax! We really enjoyed exploring the area, particularly Hastings seafront and Battle. It was a real delight seeing the sheep through the mist each morning and cosying up with the log burner in the evenings. We're sure this won't be our last visit! Thank you

I think this is our 10th stay at the Stables and we continue to love it. So homely and cosy with luxurious touches such as lovely fluffy towels & thick, high quality bedding. The welcome hamper is always well received as are the dog treats! A very special place for us, thank you.

Another wonderful weekend at the stables - this time we came as a group using both stables & Jessie. Fantastic time was had by all. Thanks Sue, can't wait to come again.

After selling our caravan after 6 years we are new to glamping! We have stayed on some lovely dog-friendly caravan sites but nothing tops Jessie's orchard. Our Cairn terrier has loved the space and freedom and it has made a very relaxing break for us. Jessie is a quaint home from home, very comfortable bed and a surprising amount of space. We have really enjoyed it here and whilst its lovely to go exploring, just relaxing outside Jessie is perfect. We have been so lucky with the weather, rain was forecast and never arrived. The local pub is great for lunch and dinner and the village stores stock everything you need (the emergency bottle of wine and snacks). We hope to return in the near future.

Ideal location and facilities for us and our two dogs. Great accommodation and so very clean on our arrival. We'll be back.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in your shepherds hut 'Jessie'. We've had a brilliant time and we're really impressed with all of the amenities and thought and care you have clearly put in for people to stay here. The playing cards & books were a really nice touch as well as the toiletries, tea & coffee and other essentials. This has been such a special stay for us - nice for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax next to the wood fire in a very comfy bed. We would definitely like to stay here again and are thinking of returning with some of our friends who we think would also like it here. Thanks so much!

Thank you for a lovely stay. We had a wonderful time exploring 1066 Country with our kids - its a perfect spot even in the autumn. Theo enjoyed the sheep and cows and the trip on the steam train was fabulous. About 15 mins away is a lovely park for the little ones that was also enjoyed. Thanks for a fab stay!

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage. Plenty of space and so well equipped. The welcome basket was fantastic also one for the dogs with beds, blankets and dog bowls. The area has so much to see. We enjoyed Sissinghurst Castle gardens, Battle Abbey, Rye and Royal Tunbridge Wells. It was really a pleasure to stay here. We hope to visit again. The Union in Rye has delicious veggie food and is accommodating for dogs - lovely!

I love this place, beautiful and clean, I could move here! We had lunch at the village pub. Yesterday we went to Bodiam Castle, we only walked in the grounds as my dog couldn't go in the castle. But it was beautiful and then we had lunch at the Hub. Highly recommend it.

Such thoughtful and 5* accommodation & welcome - Thank you! Sadly we only had time to visit Great Dixter, Old Hastings and Rye so we will have to come back!

We have just spent 2 lovely nights in Jessie. It didn't matter that the weather was stormy as we had the fabulous woodburner which made the hut nice and toasty. The hut has absolutely everything and even though I'm not used to glamping, I loved it! We would recommend brunch in Rye at the Fig, dinner in the local Queens Head and dinner in the recently opened Curlew at Bodiam. The dog loved her walk at Brede Woods. Thank you for the treats - very much appreciated. Best wishes

What a beautiful place in a lovely spot - never tired of the view - terrace was a welcome retreat in the heatwave! Thank you for your hospitality - welcome pack absolutely brilliant, dogs made very welcome in village pub, Queens Head and Royal Oak at Whatlington. Fabulous Sunday lunch at Rose & Crown (food served all day) after visiting Batemans - Rudyard Kipling's home, also dog friendly. All in all a wonderful holiday.

We have had a wonderful week! Our friend from Tonbridge was staying in Jessie and she had her two beautiful Viszlas with her who got on incredibly well with our Pointer Poppy - we had great walks together in Battle Woods and a very tasty BBQ all together on our decking terrace! We took the dogs and went to our favourite Italian restaurant in Tenterden (Montalbano) and there were very welcoming to us and the 3 dogs and gave us part of the terrace to spread out in - wonderful food and nice bottle of Pinot Grigio! Weather has been hot and sunny but there is always a breeze to make it bearable. Don't want to go home! but look forward to our next visit! Thank you Sue
